Davening in the Cave of Reb Shimon in Pekiin — for Open Nissim and Parnassah
Reb Chaim Kanievsky zt"l said it plainly: in the cave of Reb Shimon in Pekiin a yid can see open nissim in everything, and especially in parnassah — b'koach of Reb Shimon, who saw open nissim in this very place when the wellspring and the charuv tree were created for his own sustenance.
The maaseh behind it
Reb Chaim Kanievsky zt"l was known to send yidden in tzaros to daven in this cave, and many of them saw yeshuos lema'alah miderech hateva. He was building on the Maharal of Prague in Chiddushei Aggados, who writes that the cave of Pekiin is a makom kadosh me'od — above time and above place, with hashra'as haShechinah, a place fit for gilui Eliyahu Hanavi, from the days of Reb Shimon until today.
What the shliach does there
The shliach toivels in the mikveh, says the gantze sefer Tehillim with techinos and bakashos, and learns Zohar — Idra Rabba and Idra Zuta. Afterwards he lights licht l'ilui nishmas Reb Shimon and his son Reb Elazar, and says the special tefillah of the place.
