At Segulta we want every yid — including a person with a disability — to be able to order a gantze Tehillim at the tziyun, follow the shlichus and get the updates on his own, without needing anyone's help.
1. Level of accessibility
This site was made accessible according to the Israeli Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Accessibility Adjustments for Service) Regulations, 2013, regulation 35, and Israeli Standard IS 5568 at level AA. In practice the site was built and checked against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA, which go further than the standard requires and also match what the ADA asks of an American site.
2. What was done on the site
• Page structure: proper headings, marked page regions (header, main content, footer), and a "Skip to content" link at the top of every page.
• Keyboard only: every link, button and field works with the keyboard, with a clear focus ring. Pop-up windows keep the focus inside them, close with the Escape key, and return the focus to where you were.
• Screen readers: the language of each page is set (English, Hebrew, Yiddish), every field in the order form has a label, and form errors are read out and tied to their field.
• Colour contrast of at least 4.5:1 for text; decorative pictures are marked so a screen reader skips them.
• Zoom up to 200% without losing content, and a layout made for the phone.
• Motion: the motion on the site is small and short — there are no rotating pictures, and nothing moves on its own for more than five seconds. If you asked your device to reduce motion, the page stands still.
• No outside accessibility plug-in was installed; the adjustments were made in the site itself.
3. Known limitations
• The credit-card payment page is shown by the payment company, and its accessibility is their responsibility.
• WhatsApp conversations take place in the WhatsApp app, which is not under our control.
• The videos from the tziyun are sent to you as they were filmed, without captions. If you need a written description of a video, we will gladly send one on request.
• Names and descriptions of kvorim that have not been translated yet appear in Hebrew on the English site.
If you find any part of the site that is not accessible — please tell us so we can fix it, and in the meantime we will give you the service another way (by phone, WhatsApp or email).
4. The service is given from a distance
Ordering, updates and tracking are all done on the site, on WhatsApp and by email, and the shliach davens at the tziyun for you — there is no need to come anywhere in person to get the service.
